Renate Childs
Renate Childs is the Personal Lines Team Lead at the Schoolcraft location of Trust Shield Insurance Group. She joined the agency in February 2018.
Renate has a bachelors degree in Creating Writing with minors in History and World Literature from Western Michigan University. Renate obtained her Michigan Property & Casualty Insurance license in May 2019 and is also a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).
At the Office
Renate’s job responsibilities with the Trust Shield team include assisting agents with new business, making policy changes & helping our clients with any of their Personal Insurance needs.
Getting to work with all the lovely people here at Trust Shield and being part of a team that comes together to take care of clients as well as one another is Renate’s favorite part of her job.
At Home
A Elk Rapids native, Renate now lives in Kalamazoo with her fiancé, Nick, two cats Remy and Zelda, and a dog Oskar. She enjoys cooking reading and traveling.
Renate loves traveling so much that after graduating from WMU, she spent a month backpacking through Europe.
